Forgotten Illustrations

Cleaning out the basement of my house, I found these two cover pages for a year-end newspaper feature the Oakland Tribune used to publish. My mother saved them from when she lived in the Bay Area. The artwork was created by Paul A. Schmitt, a painter, illustrator, and teacher who lived most of his life in and around Oakland, California (1893-1983). I just like looking at them.
