TAKE 1/2 OFF! signals that only half of the letters in the sign are needed.
There are at least two approaches to correctly rearranging/reducing the letters in the sign:
1. Listing all the letters reveals there are six S's and two each of the letters A, E, L, M, O, R, T, and Y. Taking 1/2 off, you're left with three S's and one A, E, L, M, O, R, T, and Y. An anagram of that is SOLAR SYSTEM.
2. Anagramming the full group of letters can yield SOLAR SYSTEM SOLAR SYSTEM. Taking 1/2 off that, you're left with SOLAR SYSTEM.
Hint: The SLIM EMILE'S sign is included to suggest the doubled-letter concept. After eliminating half of the letters in SLIM EMILE'S, the result can be rearranged to spell LIMES, which are the fruit pictured after SLIM EMILE'S.
