What's up: Below are seven "clever" clues followed by seven partly revealed answers. The missing letters appear in the columns to either side (note: each and every one of the missing letters will be used exactly once to fill the blanks). Work back and forth between the clues and the missing letters.
The piece of paper: Atop your sheet, write the missing letters—they spell out the nonsense phrase INVENTORS LOOKED CLOGGED. Now start coming up with answers, crossing off missing letters as you use them (make sure to cross off only the missing letters, not the ones already given).
