Shape Up

Back in the '80s, I was walking in Times Square and noticed a sign. It sat atop a small fast-food shop tucked on one of the side streets. What struck me, and stuck with me all these years, was the deceptively simple logo on the sign. It used one each of these five basic shapes:

That's it, just those five solid-black shapes (although not in that order) above a simple illustration of a vegetable. Now, it might seem like that couldn't communicate a name, but it did.

Your task: Figure out how those shapes were arranged, and what the name of the restaurant was. If you get that, you should be able to figure out what the vegetable was.

Hint: None of the shapes need to be rotated from their positions shown above.
