The Other Earp

In 2013, Ann Kirschner wrote a biography of Josephine Marcus Earp, Wyatt Earp's common-law wife of 50 years. It's called Lady at the OK Corral: the True Story of Josephine Marcus Earp and includes a map I drew of Earp's complicated journey around North America. I'm realizing now I never saw a printed book, but I should.

According to the book, "Josephine sparked the world's most famous gunfight, buried her husband in a Jewish cemetery after he died in her bed in 1929, and subsequently shaped the legend of Wyatt Earp and the Wild West." It was an Editor's Choice by the Sunday Book Review of The New York Times, and True West magazine named Kirschner best new Western author in 2014.
